Why should I consider concrete as a material for my home?

Can I use concrete countertops as a cutting surface?

No. We never recommend using any countertop as a cutting surface for two reasons. It could leave scratches in the counter and will most certainly dull your knife. You can however have a custom cutting board added in to most any countertop.

Do concrete countertops stain?

The porosity of concrete is much like marble and granite. Concrete can stain or patina if spills are left for periods of time. We do use some of the best sealers on the market to put a protective barrier yet at the same time maintain the natural beauty of the concrete.

Can I have concrete backsplashes?

Yes, you can have concrete backsplashes. In some cases concrete tile splashes may be a better solution. We often recommend using other materials such as slate, glass, limestone or even stainless steel. Here are some things to keep in mind about splashes. we will not make splashes that exceed 4 feet in length.

Is concrete to heavy for my cabinets?

Most cabinets are well suited for concrete. Some cabinets may require reinforcement. These types of cabinets are usually the type that come in a box and require assembly of all the walls, drawers and doors after the end user has received them.

How do I care for my new concrete countertops?

Caring for concrete is as simple as an occasional waxing with an inexpensive carnauba paste wax. directions for maintenance and care come with every piece delivered.
